Experimental analysis of low-cycle and creep fatigue for directionally solidified DZ125 with a hole

  • A low-cycle/creep fatigue test was conducted for directionally solidified DZ125 component with a hole under high temperature conditions.The purpose of this test was to simulate hollow turbine rotor blade for film cooling of aeroengine.The test scheme was planned according to geometric characteristics,temperature and load conditions of hollow turbine rotor blade.The test scheme and test results were described,covering ser-vice life analysis,crack expansion analysis and metallographic analysis.The results show that holes' stress con-centration and creep are major contributing factor to the damage of components,and electric discharge machine(EDM) hole features is decisive to the crack initiation.
