Optimizing control of turboshaft engines based on variable rotor speed

  • The integrated optimization of turboshaft engine/rotor was studied to analyze the relationship between power requirement of helicopter and the operating status of turboshaft engine,and the effect of the rotor revolutions per minute(RPM),collective,longitudinal cyclic and lateral cyclic on the power requirement of the helicopter.Linear programming(LP) was used to optimize the turboshaft engine/rotor performance by taking the minimum power requirement of rotor as the objective function.Meanwhile,digital simulation test was conducted for optimization of turboshaft engines with variable rotor speed in cruising state.The simulation results show that,the fuel consumption could decrease by 1.5%5.5% and the turbine temperature decrease by 4.416 ℃ after optimization of turboshaft engine with variable rotor speed in cruising state.
