Further verification of nonlinear harmonic method

  • A two-dimensional steady,unsteady and nonlinear harmonic method(NHM) RANScode was developed based on Denton steady code.Then the code was used to simulate a two-dimensional transonic compressor cascade by the above three methods and the results were compared on deterministic stress fields,blade surface velocity and other aspects.The comparison indicates that NHMpresents high precision on modeling deterministic stresses and mixing-plane treating plays an important role in the simulations.The shortcomings of NHMwere also discussed,including main unconquerable origins of modeling error and long computational time.
