Both visual experiment and numerical simulation were conducted to investigate the interaction between bubble jet flows on thin wires. The attractive interaction appeared between nearby bubble jet flows, and bubble jet flows would combine into one jet flow under strong interactions.A physical model was proposed to understand the mechanism of the interaction between bubble jet flows. The temperature in the adjacent region of the bubble sharply decreases due to the bubble growth, which induces unsymmetrical thermocapillary force around and/or in adjacent region of a bubble. As a result, the attractive interaction exists between nearby bubble jet flows, while the adjacent bubbles trends to separate from each other. The numerically simulated temperature and flow fields are in a good agreement with experimental results.
