To investigate the influence of transverse slots on film cooling effectiveness,an experimental study was employed with three different film cooling experimental plates in several ratios,two of which have different transverse slots.And the distributions were compared with the baseline holes' to reveal the good effects of the transverse slots on the film cooling performance.The results show that,the penetration of the film secondary flow into the cross flow is suppressed under the action of the transverse slots,so the film effectiveness is higher with better coverage on the hot side.And SCASE 2 of sloped downstream slot outperforms the other cases with respect to the cooling effectiveness.
