Resonance demodulation technique based on IHT for rolling bearings fault diagnosis

  • Aiming at the limitations of traditional demodulation methods for extracting the fault feature of rolling bearing vibration signal,combining iterated Hilbert transform (IHT) with resonance demodulation technique,a new method about rolling bearing fault diagnosis was proposed.Firstly,the original vibration signal was decomposed into some component signals of envelope amplitude by iterated Hilbert transform,which contain fault characteristics;then,the high frequency interference noise was eliminated and frequency multiplication spectrum was obtained by resonance demodulation technique;finally,fault type was determined by contrast with theoretical fault frequency.The experimental results show that the approach can be applied to the roller bearings fault diagnosis effectively.
