Abstract: On the basis of cost data collected from factories and the Air Force,the variation of life cycle cost is analyzed for the fighters in which one of four kinds of engine is installed respectively.It has been found that there should be a marked drop in the aircraft life cycle cost,if the suitable fund is allocated to increasing reliability,decreasing specific fuel consumption and lengthening time between two overhauls of the aircraft engine.
