Abstract: Based on the similarity theory and two-dimensional potential equation,the existence of similarity transformation in a cascade at different inlet Mach numbers has been considered.It has been shown that only for linearized two-dimensional flows there exists an exact similarity.In the case of full disturbance,only approximate similarity can be found.The uniqueness of similarity transformation in accordance with inlet Mach number has been also considered.The conclusion provides some theoretical basis for similarity transformation.
