EVALUATION OF SAFETY LIVES OF AEROENGINE PARTS

Abstract: The safety lives of parts in an aeroengine are determined by use of the confidence limits of three parameter Weibull distribution.The safety lives obtained by the point estimation of three parameter Weibull distribution have been compared with those of two parameter Weibll distribution.It is shown that this method is convenient in engineering application.
