NUMERICAL PREDICTION OF COLD FLOW FIELD BEHIND EBMC FLAMEHOLDER

Abstract: A numerical prediction of the cold flowfield behind a novel flameholder-Edge Blowing Mixture Curtain (EBMC) in two-Dimension duct was completed by using a modified k-ε model and SIMPLER method.The influence of the airflow parameters and the flameholder geometrical parameters on the recirculation zone was also studied. The prediction provides basis for designing the novel flameholder and studying its combustion performance.
