Abstract: An experimental investigation on application of the Metal Rubber to vibration reduction of the cantilever beam has been carried out.Therefrom the engineering application field of the Metal Rubber damping material is expanded.The parameters such as the materials of metal wire,the pressing density of the Metal Rubber and directions of the location rubber damper have been studied experimentally.The results indicate that the vibration of the cantilever beam can be greatly reduced,only if the construction parameters of the metal rubber are properly selected.
