Abstract:
The oil film temperature field in the Squeeze Film Damper (SFD) was analysed by the aid of finite element method.The oil film temperature distribution was obtained from joint solution of Reynolds,energy and viscosity-temperature equations of SFD in accordance with its boundary conditions.Based on the analysis of oil film ring temperatures in SFD of a turboengine SFD,the authors put forward that the oil film temperature rises are obtained from damping in the starting stage,but mainly from heat convection from ring to oil film in the steady state.The authors also recommend the Trial-and-Error method to solve this problem.
