Abstract:
This report discusses the study of detailed nonlinear real time performance simulation for a two spool turbofan engine with afterburner. On the basis of the extensible, flexible, and reliable VC++ language,we can easily build a real time simulation program for a mixed flow two spool turbofan engine with afterburner on a PⅡ450 computer. The engine performance and engine component operation can be simulated accurately. The average time is 0 542 ms for a flow path calculation. It takes the model less than 25 ms to calculate an operating point. This is a general method and it can be used in modeling of other types of engines. The real time simulation model of an existing engine has been used successfully in IFFPC (Integrated Fire/Flight/Propulsion Control) research.
