Abstract:
Six common fatigue-prediction criteria for multiaxial high-cycle fatigue analysis were analyzed with several materials and loading data. The selected criteria cover: equivalent stress criteria, stress invariant criteria and critical-plane stress criteria in current investigations. The experimental data covered 10 kinds of metal materials, including alloy steel,low-carbon steel and aluminum alloy and cast iron, under proportional and non-proportional loading conditions respectively. The analytical results show that, the predicted results for low-carbon steel and alloy steel are better than that for other materials, and the predicted result for proportional loading is better than that for non-proportional loading.Papadopoulos criterion,Susmel criterion and Liu criterion show better prediction capability than the other three criteria. However, the prediction results of all six criteria for cast-iron materials are dissatisfactory.
