Abstract:
The computational procedure for ice accretion is an iterative process.The overall calculation of ice simulation at each time-step involves five main parts: generating grid using Poisson equations,calculating flowfield by solving Navier-Stokes equation,calculating particle trajectory,thermodynamic analysis and ice accretion calculation,reconstruction of the ice boundary.The code is modular and contains six separate program elements including plot results.At last,the results calculated using the present software were compared to numerical and experimental data presented in American Institute of Aeronatutics and Astronautics(AIAA) papers,with ice shapes containing rime-ice,glaze-ice and mixed-ice.
