Abstract:
The atomization quality of a double line pressure-swirl atomizer for aero-engine was investigated using phase Doppler particle analyzer(PDPA).The spacial distributions of Sauter mean diameter(d
32) and the angle of spray cone were obtained. The results show that: the droplet size decreases with the increase of fuel-supplying pressure, and tends to become invariable when the pressure rises to certain extent;the spray cone angle is basically independent from fuel-supplying pressure;d
32 decreases with the widening distance from the spray nozzle, when the main or secondary fuel lines operates respectively;at the same measuring cross section,d
32 slightly changes with the radial distance.
