Abstract:
One of the significant characters in superhigh temperature-rise combustors and low emission combustors is represented by the high combustion airflow rate which is more than 60% in the airflow distribution. With this characteristic, the normal combustors could not achieve the basic requirements of the high temperature-rise combustors and low emission combustors.Based on the basic characteristics of combustion and the basic performance of the combustor, this paper emphatically analyzed the limit of the combustion airflow distribution on normal combustor design, and discussed the key points for the high combustion airflow rate combustor and the concept of the flexible staging. This paper compared the characteristics of different staging methods, pointed out that the rich premix prevaporized(RPP) center staged combustion is a preferred method for superhigh temperature-rise combustors, and the lean premix prevaporized(LPP)center staged combustion is a preferred method for low emission combustors.
